Prince Edward Island, PEI is located in Canada in the Gulf of St Lawrence.
Prince Edward Island is divided into three counties - Kings, Queens, and Prince. Originally created after the English model during the surveying and subdivision of the Island in the 1760's, the counties now serve as census subdivisions for Statistics Canada.
Kings County, in the eastern portion of the Island, is the smallest, most rural, and least populated.
Queens County in the central portion of the Island, is the province’s most urban county and the home of the capital city of Charlottetown.
Prince County, in the western portion of the Island, is the home of Summerside, and the Confederation Bridge.
